My Cursed Kingdom
This is my kingdom, i am the slave.

I still remember

I woke up with a startle. She was knocking on my window. I was sweating profusely. The dream I had just witnessed was very disturbing. I had fallen asleep just a few minutes ago behind my car wheel, waiting for her to come out of the store. I had agreed to do that so I could see her off to her own car as soon as she was done with her work. My heart was beating at a horse’s gallop pace.

I had seen her lose control of her car and crash head on into a mini van. My heart had jumped to my throat as I witnessed the accident in my dream. All I could do was stand there with my hand over my mouth. I wasn’t breathing. I couldn’t utter a single word. I was motionless. I could not believe what I had just seen. Her car spun several times before it finally got hold of a near by post. It was a wreck I had never seen before. I could tell she wasn’t alive anymore.

I hurried out of the car onto the busy street. My heart was still beating away so fast. She seemed really confused as I grabbed her by her arms and waited to gather my words. I tried to convince her to let me take her home. She just carried a confused expression on her face as she questioned my behavior. I told her it was nothing and she should just trust me and leave her own car at the store for the moment. I wasn’t taking any chances. I was not risking it. A dreams a dream. But I would never forgive myself if something happened to her because I did not act upon what I had seen. I kept hoping it would just stay a dream.

She got into to passengers seat as I sternly asked her to wear the belt. We started moving, I was being very careful. After driving for 10 minutes I regained my composure and felt a bit relaxed. From the corner of my eye I saw something bulleting towards us from the passengers side. I didn’t even get enough time to turn my head and see what it was as the jeep slammed into the passengers side and sent my car swirling off the road. It rolled around a couple of times before it slammed into another car a few 100 yards away. The roof had come down as the glass was all over the car. I hit my head on the steering wheel and lost consciousness at that very moment. But before I lost consciousness as she caught my eye, I could tell she wasn’t alive anymore.
